This marks the first release of Teeworlds featuring code contributions from members of the community, following a process we hope to sustain as Teeworlds grows and the game becomes more mature. All good things come to those who wait! Four months of intense work, almost 200 issues cleared and heaven only knows how many keystrokes have brought you the largest release yet. New features for Teeworlds 0.5.0 include demo recording, a revamped server browser and in-game voting, as well as a a gazillion changes under the hood. There is also a new, shiny 16-player limit.

Mac OS X users might also be glad to know this marks the end of the separate Intel and PPC versions -- Teeworlds is now compiled as an Universal Binary. It's also shipped as an App Bundle, with a simple rudimentary server launcher.

As is our established tradition after a major release, 0.5.1 is a maintenance release with some graphical touch-ups and numerous bugfixes. The server browser has received a whole heap of improvements, as has the voting system. The OSX Server launcher has been fixed, network performance has been improved further, and we fondly greet our good friend VSync back in business. As a little bonus, the in-game console now has an autocomplete feature and provides helpful hints for all console commands and settings.
